How It All Began

Over 20 years ago, on 17 April 1993, is when it all began - when Jill first walked onto a bear bile farm. Click here to read what - or rather who - inspired Jill to dedicate her life to ending bear bile farming - UNTIL THE CRUELTY ENDS

The Animals Asia Scotland support group was formed in January 2015 by merging all Scottish support groups.  The aim of this group is to raise awareness, and to raise funds for the vital work of the Animals Asia Foundation

We have three flagship programmes: End Bear Farming, Cat and Dog Welfare and Zoos and Safari Parks. Under these, we have many campaigns, including the Moon Bear Rescue aimed at bringing the barbaric practice of bear farming and the bile trade to an end. To find out more, and to read about the latest rescues, please visit www.animalsasia.org  Virginia McKenna, co-founder of the Born Free Foundation, has written a poem about her visit to a bear farm - you can listen to an mp3 version of "The Darkest Day"

Sepp Haeusl's November photo was created by Ewa, a very good friend of Sepp's from Poland. "Mother Nature has a lot of warmth & heart - why don't we?"

If you fancy getting involved, and can spare some time to help tortured bears, dogs and cats in China and Vietnam please contact us, or just come along to our next support group meeting. You don’t need any special skills, just a willingness to help. We work hard, but have lots of fun too - check out our photo gallery!

Get Involved

We run an active Meet-Up group. Why not come along and join us and get involved in our fundraising and awareness events.

It's not easy to raise funds at the best of times, so we use Just Giving to make it easy for you to donate whatever you can afford to our cause.
